The Road Must be Stable When Unloading

Dump truck driver should first pay attention to the question that the unloading site must be stable, especially the left and right direction of dump truck should be slant. If not, the center of gravity of dump truck may deviate when hydraulic cylinder lifting the dump box, it's dangerous and easy to roll over.

The Road Must be Sturdy 

If the road is loose, one side of the tire may cave in the ground because of the weight of the dump truck and freight. The best method is to observe if there is collapsion indication of truck tire when the truck box is lifting to the half weight of specified height. It’s better to observe if the hydraulic cylinder is slant or not during the process of lifting. If there if some slant, lower down the truck box and slowly and replace a stable and sturdy place for unloading.

Open the Tailgate of Dump Box

Choosing proper unloading site is important, the operation of driver is vital as well. The first operation of dumping the material on the open box is opening the tailgate. This operation looks simple and don’t need any reminding, however, several turning over accidents are caused by the fault of not opening the tailgate. It is very dangerous for the drivers if they forgetting opening tailgate of the dump box owning to the rising center of gravity of the dump box.

Avoid the Material Colliding With Tailgate

The loading capacity of dump truck sometimes is large and it is easily for the dumping material colliding with the tailgate. If this happens, drive the dump truck slowly forward for dumping.

Different Operations According to Various Materials 

Stone Coal

For dumping the stone coal, the drivers can’t lift the hydraulic cylinder to the total height, otherwise, you can’t handle the parking brake at all. Stone coal should be unloaded slowly and let the material move itself for its own weight.

Limestone

It is more easily for unloading the limestone on the condition of putting a piece of plastic film on the surface of dump box before loading the freight. If the hydraulic cylinder holds up and the materials in the box don’t move, drivers can move forward or back so that the lime powder can drop itself.

Iron Powder

Dumping dry iron powder is easier than wet iron powder, and the problem is that wet iron powder can’t be unloaded smoothly. So it is necessary to load more iron powder on the rear part of box, while load less freight on the front of the open-bed box.

Clinker

Clinker is the most favorable material by the dump truck, it is easily unloaded. One thing needs to attention is the road must be flat and sturdy.
